Description |
|
ALCOMA ALxxF is compact, easy to deploy and modular microwave radio relay link for backbones and lastmiles. It is suitable for building LAN, MAN and WAN networks. The link can use channel bandwidth up to 60 MHz and modulation scheme up to 256QAM. It's transmission capacity is up to 400 Mbps full duplex (800 Mbps aggregate) for 1+0 system configuration, up to 768 Mbps full duplex (1,5 Gbps aggregate) for 2+0 system configuration and up to 1.6 Gbps full duplex (3,2 Gbps aggregate) for 4+0 system configuration. |
The link operates in licensed and licence free bands according to CEPT, ETSI and FCC recommendations. It should be operated according to local regulations in each country. |
Microwave part of equipment is built in outdoor unit (ODU). ODU is either integrated with antenna or connected to antenna via flexible waveguide. Data part is contained in modular indoor unit (IDU). ODU and IDU are interconnected by coaxial cable which is used both for IF and power feeding. IDU is 1U high and can be mounted in 19"rack. 35, 65, 90 and 120 cm antennas can be used with the equipment. |
There are many possibilities to combine different user interfaces in one IDU thanks to its modularity. Fast or Gigabit Ethernet with SFP, E1/T1 or STM-1/OC-3 interfaces can be chosen. There are two standard version of IDU. The first one with 2 Fast Ethernet + 16 E1/T1 interfaces. It can be extended up to 63 E1/T1 interfaces or up to 3 electrical/optical STM-1/OC-3 interfaces. The second one with 4 Gigabit Ethernet with SFP + 2 E1/T1 interfaces. It can be extended up to 23 E1/T1 or up to 3 electrical/optical STM-1/OC-3 interfaces. Network managment system interfaces Fast Ethernet/RS232, Data order wire channels RS422/RS232, Voice order wire channel and Input/Output alarms relay are included. |
|
The link incorporates powerful Trellis Coded Modulation with Concatenated Reed-Solomon error corection to ensure low residual BER. The link disposes Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM). Those offer high coding gain and require lower signal to noise ratio.
|
Frequency spectrum and in many countries also frequency fees can be saved using XPIC feature, in that case 2+0 link can be operated on one frequency with different polarizations. |
Split links can be managed and configured via web interface, telnet client or ALCOMA ASD Client, which enables easy management of radio relay link networks. ALCOMA AL..F has built-in BERT for remote link diagnostic. Diagnostic Ethernet interface is separated from user data interface. Also SNMP protocols ver. 1, 2 and 3 are supported. Client / server solution - ALCOMA ASD Server with SQL database can be used for large heterogeneous network diagnostics and management. |
